Why is AMPclimb free?
Core AMPclimb route management is free because better wall organization helps gyms, setters, climbers, and the sport. There is no required upgrade for gyms to manage routes. Our revenue comes from optional printed route tags, future gym operations tools, and optional Climbary Pro features for climbers.
Do Staff members need Climbary?
No. Staff can manage routes in AMPclimb without Climbary, though we have optimized the wall maintenance on our mobile experience. You will like it better there guaranteed!
Do we need to tell our climbers about Climbary?
No, you can use AMPclimb completely for free without announcing to your climbers that Climbary is available for them. However you will be leaving metadata on the table. Climbary is the best way to collect valuable feedback that you can use to better cater to your community.
How long does setup take?
Not long at all! Especially if you have more than one person knocking it out at once. To put it in perspective, my local gym has over 7000sq/ft. Here is a breakdown of the initial set up time:
Wall section creation: <5 minutes
Wall photos: <7 minutes
Route tags: 15-30 seconds per route
After initial set up of your gym environment, you only need to keep up with one wall at a time per reset which is much easier.
Can we export our data?
Yes. Gym route data should stay portable for reporting, backups, and staff workflows outside the product.
I have a small gym, why is this worth my time setting up?
